About the Company & Opportunity

• Our client is a nonprofit in DC focused on the performing arts.
• Due to a retirement, they are hiring a CFO to work hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote).
• Schedule: MonFri, 8a.m.5p.m.
• Pay: $7582 per hour depending on experience.
• This position will start as a contract; with strong performance it could become a permanent fulltime role with a salary range of $170k$180k.

Overview of the CFO Role

• Provides strategic management of the accounting and finance functions.
• Directs accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Recommends improvements to ensure the integrity of a companys financial statements.
• Collaborates with the chief information officer on technology decisions.
• Oversees financial systems implementations and upgrades.
• Manages relationships with investors and investment institutions.
• Identifies and manages business risks and insurance requirements.
• Leads and supervises accounting and finance staff.

Preferred Qualifications for the CFO

• Masters degree preferred.
• CPA is a plus.
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
• 5+ years of CSuite experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
