Summary:

Work with College Recruiting Manager to help identify and recruit qualified candidates for our organization. Will be a point of contact with Universities and Colleges for College Students to Graduate, Internship, and Co-Op positions. Assist in establishing College Recruiting strategies that help to improve company visibility on campus and brings best in class candidates to our organization. Work with College Recruiting Manager to identify areas of current and future college recruiting hiring needs and identify strategies to fill those positions.

Assigned Communications & Recruiting Associate Responsibilities*:

  • Assist with College Recruiting:
    • Maintaining database to track college grad and intern needs
    • Register for career fairs and college recruiting events
    • Maintaining Workable / Handshake job postings
    • Attend career fairs and recruiting events
    • Set up interviews for interns and grads
    • Track applicant pool from recruiting events and referrals
    • Assist with developing working relationship with faculty and staff
    • Involved with interviewing college graduates and interns
  • Assist with onboarding for college grads and intern hires:
    • Assist with new hire intern orientations
    • Assist with completing proper paperwork for HR
    • Assist with equipment requisitions
    • Assist with pre-employment for college graduates
  • Work on strategies to obtain company-wide participation and excitement of college recruiting program
  • Develop strategies to improve college recruiting through social media, on campus presentations, involvement in competitions, and other activities
  • Assist with College Internship Program:
    • Coordinating summer events (Friday in the Field, Social Events, End of Summer Event, etc.)
    • Check-ins with interns throughout the summer
    • Assist with intern project throughout the summer
  • Assist with Communications
    • Designing college recruiting brochures and miscellaneous materials
    • Develop content for social media posts
    • Design and produce custom college presentations
    • Work with Communications staff to develop college recruiting material
  • Paschen Scholars and Bridge Program
    • Work with Westinghouse Academy to identify and select news students for Scholar and Bridge program
    • Work as part of the committee to develop training and exposure for Scholars and Bridge Program
    • Develop program to maintain relationship with students while in High School and College
    • Maintain relationship with Scholars and Bridge Students after High School graduation
    • Identify scholar graduates that are pursing degrees in Construction, Architecture & Engineering for placement in our Bridge and Internship Programs.
  • High School outreach
    • Assist with developing programs to introduce high school students to Construction & Engineering as a career
  • Develop strategies to improve Inclusion & Diversity in the recruiting process
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional communication, writing, and follow up skills required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Creative Cloud Suite. Strong working knowledge with programs in Creative Cloud Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience in Applicant Tracking Software a plus.

Education and Training:

Associate's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, and/or minimum 2-3 years related experience required. Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Technical Skills (Must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to manage):

Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Microsoft Office with an emphasis on presentation template design in PowerPoint. SharePoint and OneDrive.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in the office or in the field. Noise levels vary.

Physical Demands:

  • Travel
  • Involves sitting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Can involve lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range:

$55,000 - $68,000

F.H. Paschen reserves the right to offer the selected candidate or applicant an hourly rate or salary at an appropriate level to be set and determined by the employer that is commensurate with the applicant's qualifications, experience, education, skill training, certifications, or seniority.
