*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
New England Property Services Group, LLC is a general contracting company operating in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island focusing on Mitigating, Remediating, and Restoring residential properties from damages including but not limited to storm-related events such as wind, rain, as well as ice and snow which can create damage to the exterior components of properties including roofing and siding as well as to the ensuing potential damage caused by water penetrating the exterior components into the interior living space. Other areas of focus including interior damages from fixtures that can create water damage from overflows of water which can damage the finished components such as ceilings, flooring, walls and other built-in fixtures such as cabinetry. Our work is focused on restoring the properties with the assistance of the insurance coverage that would be in place on the specific property needing attention. The legal assistance that is required and part of the reason for this posting directly relates to insurance claim matters on behalf of the company as well as other contract needs between the company and consumer as needed. To be considered, you must be presently licensed (or pending licensure) in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts with a preference on currently holding both Rhode Island and Massachusetts licenses. We may also consider a candidate who has already submitted paperwork to obtain licensure where that particular state license is anticipated in the very near future. Candidates must reside in one of the above named States with priority given to Rhode Island, then Massachusetts, then Connecticut based on the allocation of business for the company. Our office is located in Fall River, MA so the position will be office based with the possibility of some remote work. Travel to certain project sites is also required with advance notice. The best qualified candidates will possess an ability to obtain knowledge specific to the types of insurance claim work that the company is focusing on such as Roofing and Siding, along with other types of damage, such as water damage, which would be in addition to assisting the company in developing business opportunities through direct contacts which is easily achieved as the knowledge of the specific business that our company is focused on is fully understood. At the present time, the company does not have access to offering employee health, dental, or other financial benefits, such as retirement benefits. Taking that into consideration, candidates are encouraged to calculate their required compensation (hourly pay rate or weekly salary) accordingly (See Question # 6 Below Regarding Compensation), which should factor in any need to have benefits outside of an hourly pay rate or salary. Access to health / dental insurance is readily available from a variety of sources, including the MA Health Connector (For MA Residents) or HealthSource RI (For RI Residents). Having said that, would you be willing to accept only an hourly pay rate or salary to start employment with the company, with an understanding that our situation may change and benefits may be offered in the future as the company grows? 6. What is your minimum required hourly pay rate? A Range can be used in lieu of a specific hourly rate if desired. Please note, there is a posted 'compensation range' provided in the Job Posting. Compensation to candidates will consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to, where the Candidate is currently Licensed to Practice Law, what State(s) the Candidate can become Licensed to Practice Law, a Candidate's Experience, Skill Set, desire and ability to learn and understand and implement the Company's Goals and Objectives , etc. At a minimum, a Candidate must be currently Licensed to Practice Law in MA or RI and/or anticipating Licensure in MA or RI in the immediate future. 7.
