Overview As a Junior DevOps engineer, you will be solving complex challenges for a unique virtualized infrastructure platform currently employed by our DoD customer. The virtualized infrastructure embraces infrastructure as code and utilizes CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, sustainment, and recovery of the platform. This is a Hybrid position located at Fort Meade, Maryland. You will be required to commute to the customer site regularly. This role is with MAXISIQ and involves development and ongoing improvement within a CI/CD workflow, with systems administration support and exposure to both virtual and physical architectures. Continued development and improvement through a CI/CD pipeline. Qualifications Security+, CE, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+ or other relevant DoD 8570 Certification(s) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or related discipline. 2+ years experience with VMWare, Vsphere, and/or VCenter. 2+ years experience developing and maintaining automated systems. 2+ years Windows/Linux System Administration Experience Strong coordination, organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to effectively execute tasks, resolve issues, and meet challenging schedules. Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance such as Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Experience with Patch Management and managing Git Repositories Secret clearance (with ability to get TS/SCI) Required Skills 2+ years of directly related experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods Strong coordination, organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to effectively execute tasks, resolve issues, and meet challenging schedules. Experience writing, modifying, automating and executing scripts (Python, Shell, Bash, Ansible etc.) Systems Security and architecture related certifications Understanding of DoD/IC Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes and concepts (IPAT, ASDS, DIACAP, DISA STIGs, etc.) Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker Experience developing and maintaining automated systems. Experience with SOC or Network defense capability development and engineering services. Preferred Skills 2+ years of directly related experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods Strong coordination, organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
