Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Process Engineer III to support process improvement initiatives for Single & Tandem Flow Ribbon production lines in a high-speed optical cable manufacturing environment. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and process stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process improvements for manufacturing lines including variability reduction and throughput enhancement.
• Conduct root cause analysis and solve complex production issues.
• Design and execute experiments using SPC, DOE, and other methodologies.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize data using tools like JMP , Minitab , and Power BI .
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs, Job Aids, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, facilities, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering (Required).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (fiber or cable industry is a plus).
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement , SPC , DOE , and Six Sigma .
• Strong analytical skills and technical leadership capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to handle changing priorities and multitask.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and data visualization platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates (Hickory/Newton, NC area) are highly preferred.
• Experience with optical fiber cable manufacturing processes (jacketing, buffering, etc.).
• Familiarity with methods such as TRIZ, KT-PA, MEE is a plus.
