Network Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated mid-level Network Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise and tactical networks for the Department of Defense ( DoD ) . This role is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in wireless, SD-WAN, and cybersecurity to build secure, resilient infrastructure that directly enhances the quality of life for military personnel and their families. You'll work on meaningful projects that support mission readiness and day-to-day connectivity across DoD environments.
What You'll Work On: \n - Serve as a core member of the Operations and Maintenance ( O & M ) team, responsible for day-to-day operation and sustainment of enterprise and tactical network systems.
\n - Configure and troubleshoot Aruba wireless LANs, controllers, access points, and ClearPass and SD-WAN solutions.
\n - C ond uct performance tuning and network health assessments.
\n - C ond uct and document cybersecurity vulnerability scans using approved tools in compliance with DoD requirements.
\n - Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
\n - Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated network issues.
\n - Collaborate across IT teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant network operations.

You Have: \n - 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles
\n - Experience with Aruba wireless solutions, including Aruba Controllers, AirWave, and ClearPass, and network troubleshooting tools and packet analysis, including Wireshark or SolarWinds
\n - Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies such as Aruba EdgeConnect and orchestrator
\n - Knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, or BGP
\n - Knowledge of TCP / IP and data network protocols, including ARP, DHCP, SNMP, and TCP, and protocol analysis tools, including tcpdump and Wireshark
\n - Knowledge of DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance standards
\n - Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams
\n - Secret clearance
\n - Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering field

Nice If You Have: \n - Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet, NAC, and network security policies
\n - Knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python or Ansible
\n - Knowledge of cloud networking such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
\n - DoD 8570 Certification such as Security+
\n - Aruba Certified Mobility Asso cia te ( ACMA ) , Cisco Certified Network Asso cia te ( CCNA ) , or CompTIA Network+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
