Job Overview Lenox Advisors provides sophisticated solutions in wealth management and insurance services to high-net-worth individuals and their families. This role involves partnering with financial advisors to coordinate and expedite Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care insurance processes. Candidates should have prior experience in case management or supporting advisors in these products. Note: this is specifically related to insurance products, not healthcare or social services. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule requiring at least 2 days per week in Hunt Valley, MD or mid-town NYC; fully remote work is not available. Key Responsibilities Manage an average pending case load of 80-100 cases, with higher volumes during peak seasons. Coordinate and expedite insurance applications to carriers like MassMutual. Stay current on carrier underwriting, product, compliance, and submission requirements. Educate financial advisors on underwriting impacts, including medical impairments and contractual requirements. Assess impairments and risks, working with advisors to determine suitable products and illustrations. Review underwriting requirements and negotiate offers for business placement. Maintain accurate case and client data in management systems. Conduct regular meetings with financial advisors for updates. Review policies and placement requirements for quality assurance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of Life, Disability, and LTC insurance products. Understanding of underwriting processes and requirements. Proficiency in medical terminology related to underwriting. Strong organizational and customer service skills. Ability to navigate databases and manage priorities effectively. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook, with excellent communication skills. Personal Attributes Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Effective time management and adaptability. Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive problem-solver. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Educational and Experience Requirements HS Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. At least 2 years in insurance case management or supporting financial advisors in insurance new business. Experience with CRM systems. Life and Health licenses are preferred but not required.
