Job Posting: Part-Time Pro Shop Associate
Location: Little Ocmulgee State Park & Lodge – Golf Operations
Job Summary:
Little Ocmulgee State Park is currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented Part-Time Pro Shop Associate to support our golf operations team. This role is essential in delivering an outstanding guest experience by providing excellent service, maintaining shop operations, and promoting the park's golf and recreational amenities. If you enjoy working with people, love the outdoors, and have an interest in golf, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Greet all guests warmly and provide a professional and welcoming first impression
Manage golf tee time bookings, check-ins, and transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems
Sell golf merchandise, snacks, and beverages
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing pro shop and display areas
Assist with inventory management and restocking of merchandise
Provide information about the golf course, park amenities, and upcoming events
Monitor pace of play and coordinate with on-course staff as needed
Support tournament setup, scoring, and other special golf events
Promote and enforce course policies and park rules
Perform light cleaning and upkeep to ensure a safe, guest-ready environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or cash handling is a plus
Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays
Interest in or basic knowledge of golf is helpful, but not required
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, guest-focused setting
Indoor and outdoor work required, with occasional exposure to weather conditions
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
